wow - I only paid $250 for my SS (with a jointer).

You're making me feel really guilty.

That said -

a) SS is okay as a supplement
(I use mine as a drill press and sander - not very fond of the saw )

b) These prices aren't exactly steals. Like I said - I picked mine up for $250.
