Hmmm, I'm in Seattle, no love for that price out here (still $119 according to website). Do you have receipt or are you volunteering to buy one for those of us not near you ?

Jay, the second link has a receipt, not sure if you can download it or not.

Don't bother with the website,Thats a seperate entity when dealing with HD,I would call your store and check to see what the price is by using the SKU number to see what it is selling for.

          Yeah
call the store first and you can guarantee there will not be one left when you
          get there.
You can check stock online at Homedepot.com
          but price shows at $119
          good luck

Calling ahead is a good idea - save some gas money and make sure you get it.

Call CS, ask them to check stock and price, they will have a department associate pull the product and bring it to CS. Pay over the phone with a credit card and the product will be waiting for you at CS.

Everyone thinks the associates will take the product, but an associate doing that would be fired - they are not permitted to buy anything during their shift. I suppose they could try to hide it, but again, if caught they would be fired and possibly charged with the crime.

It's really just not a problem.

When I call a store whether it be HD or Lowes I simply hit 0 and ask the operator or whoever answers the phone to check inventory with the SKU,Usually that person doesn't work in the dept. concerned with the item in question and rarely looks at the price since I didn't ask for a price. If they have them in stock I will go to that store a check myself along with a scanned receipt from somewhere and try to get a p/m if the scans not local. Typically a Mgr. will p/m an item based on a local receipt, however its up to a Mgr's discretion as to whether or not they will p/m that item. I agree that if you call and ask for the tool dept and they find out its clearanced they will in fact disappear most of the time and wind up on CL.Theres a guy here in Atl that is still selling the DW735's and several of the DW tool sets from last yrs clearancing weekly still trying to get rid of them. LOL

There are two left in the West Allis, WI store. You can find them on the closeout shelves next to the checkout registers. No price tag but they ring up at $29.03.

Was at HD to pick up my Werner platforms, and saw that they did have the $30 price listed. Had the guy check for stock, as well as check local stores. They all show 1, but nothing's there.

One issue is that inventory is updated overnight - so a store can show a quantity of the item for a day, even though a popular item such as this sold out that day.

Another issue is that they count the display - if they show a quantity of 1, that is the display, which they often will not sell and is often incomplete.

I usually get an even better deal on the display more often than not, usually 1/2 off whatever the going price is. Be sure to check the overheads like toolguy does, lots of times these will be there or even near the cash registers in a clearance section that most regular employee's have no knowledge about.
