    Decent deals found this week

I suppose there's always a deal, somewhere --- here's what showed up this week:

    a) Triton sliding compound miter saw (Woodcraft @ $99) Half price!

    b) Work Bench - 60" solid wood bench - $149 @ Harbor Freight
(freight will make it expensive, though)

    c) Workmate benches online @ Home Depot ---- No - these folding benches are not going to be a showpiece for any workshop - but they're decent for what they are. HD offers Workmate benches at half the price of Sears.

I looked at that workbench on the HF site. Wonder if it can be bought or picked up in store for that money. I'll be within a few miles of a retail outlet on Saturday...will check if i can talk my wife/kid into after the Notre Dame Women's B-Ball game. But there won't be room in the car with son and his friend in the back seat.

The SoCal HF stores have the bench on display and I've seen at least one customer wheeling one in a shopping cart out the door... so some at least stock them. Give them a phone call!

I'll try to talk the tribe into stopping tomorrow!!

Add to the good deal of the week list--was at my local Ace Hdwe this morning and spotted Stanley Lever Lock measure tape bundle--25" and 12' at $14.99. Was able to pick it up for $11.99 on the 20% off (members a day early, at least here). Individually the 25' was marked 10.99, and the 12' was 12.99--yep, the department manager didn't understand that either!!

While there, i picked up a variety of Bosch T-shank jig saw blades at 20% off also.

          Your mileage may vary!!

One more fair deal = I was at Rockler yesterday afternoon and they had 26' Starrett tape measures for $4.99 - picked one up. It seems like a pretty nice tape,
