Ya'll prolly gonna think I'm nuts but we have one of these JoAnn stores near us and I buy my wipeon poly from them occasionally, Well they have a 50% of coupon in this weeks add so off I go to get some more poly, Yes its Minwax Oil based, but I like it just fine and leaves a nice finish. With the coupon(make extra copies and go thru the line several times) I usually stock up with 5-6 of the 16 oz. cans of gloss or satin ,http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog/p...ID=xprd1130332, heres a link to the coupon if ya wanna save a few bucks in finish , http://www.joann.com/joann/common/co...6&SID=FWahywsl , thats only $7.50 a can folks vs $10 at the big box boys

From the title I thought you were going to say you also purchase marbles to put into the can of finish as its consumed, raising the level of remaining finish, reducing the amount of air on top and thus lengthening the life of the can.
Was a good reminder that I need more marbles for just that occasion....and joann sells them too.Comment

Because I use it so seldom, that's what I do with my bottle of Tung Oil. It really lengthens the shelf life._________________________

Thanks, but our local Joann's was one of the casualties of the Joplin tornado. Maybe next time as they are planning to rebuild.
