    steel city 35990c TS

maybe not a big bargain, but i just stumbled across this pricing disparity on what is supposed to be a pretty good hybrid TS:

    amazon:
    http://www.amazon.com/Steel-City-359.../dp/B0046RDUEQ $877

    lowes:
    http://www.lowes.com/pd_230123-26463...7C1&facetInfo= $739 ( after 5% additional discount, $702)

this saw has a seemless CI top (the top/wing junctions are in the miter slots). it's probably the SC version of the ridgid 4511, in CI.
there's a solution to every problem.......you just have to be willing to find it.

$789.99 here in the Bryan/College Station, TX market.

        I think I'll stick with my BT3100.

sorry if it's old news...i thought the lowes price being lower than amazon was possibly noteworthy. as i noted initially, this isn't really a bargain alert. what a few of th0 ereplies have shown is that something in lowes pricing procedures is causing different prices in different markets. regional/store manager discretion?

more likely rent.... cost of doing business varies widely in various geographical areas. Think of what a table saw would cost if you bought it from say Beverly Hills, CA lol :O
I think in straight lines, but dream in curves

The 35990C is $727 here, but they also show the 35990SS for $619 (steel wings). Both have cabinet mounted trunnions. With a 10% coupon, these could be a decent deal comparatively.

Price is $676.14 here in Chicago/Lincolnwood area. Nice saw. Would be a definate upgrade from my old Delta w/Bessy fence. According to some of the Amazon reviews it was going for $650 shipped w/no tax in March. My boss would kill me if I bought another tablesaw.
