    rikon 10-325 band saw

may be old news, but this is on amazon this morning:

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002FL3ZFY/...710_pe_vfe_lm1

not too bad a price when coupled with free shipping.

That's a similar deal to what I got in Feb 2010. Not a single regret to date.

For those with a Woodcraft store nearby they currently have it for about $5 less, Woodcraft.

Either way (Amazon or Woodcraft), that's a very good price for a great saw. I love mine!

That's not true if you have a local Woodcraft store and pick it up.

No. And if you have Amazon Prime (which I happen to have), it seems to be eligible for free 2 day shipping.

Tempting, I might have to pull the trigger if I can convince my better half.

Wood magazine gave it good marks in their review. I would love to have one if I could justify the cost at the hobby level.

My friend has this exact saw and it is very nice. Is it slightly underpowered compared to a bigger saw but it does a nice job.

When I bought mine from Amazon I did not pay anything for shipping, including no extra weight fee

It may be under powered compared to the bigger saws, however with a good blade it has gone through 12" walnut without missing a beat on me.
