    Oldham Stacked Dado Set

I was wandering the aisles of the Cambridge, MA Rockler store yesterday and saw what I thought must be a mispriced tag on the 6" Oldham Dado Set. Originally $140, and marked down to $70 but the price on the shelf (not on the package) was $14.00 -- certainly an error but worth checking! The clerk said $14 was correct as Rockler is closing out Oldham saw blades andthey just want them out the door. He bought one the day before and said it worked perfectly. There were 2 more on the shelf yesterday when I purchased mine.

I have never used an Oldham blade before and don't know there reputation but for $14...... The UPC is 049551004730. Made in China of course.

    Good hunting!

I once bought a set of Oldham dado blades albeit an 8" set. Returned them the following day. Unless Oldham has had an epiphany as far as quality goes since I bought their dado set, I would not recommend this set.

I'd love to score one of these for my Ridgid jobsite saw (for use for rough carpentry as opposed to woodworking). I have a Jesada 8" set I use in the shop.

If anybody lives near a Rockler (don't have one in CT) and would be willing to pick one up and mail it to me I'd be most grateful. I'll gladly PayPal the money in advance if that helps your comfort level (I am leaving shortly for NYC for the evening so will be offline until way late tonight).
