Work Sharp 3k $199 w/ free leather hone and kit.

The latter part of that is a $30 kit (leather hone and compounds) EDIT: at Hartville Tool. So, has anybody seen this unit (the WS) combined with any other deal that is better? I've never seen a better deal - heard of them but never heard of them - so, I'm thinking that I had better pull the trigger on this before the price goes up.

Other than the famous Sears $17 half day meltdown last year , I can't remember seeing a price under $180, so $199 with a $30 accessory kit is a pretty good deal, I think... (although it is $185 at Amazon right now, without the kit, but with free shipping)

The $199 with the leather hone is one of the lower prices it can go for. Less than that is pretty uncommon. I got the same deal at Woodcraft not toot long ago. If you've been thinking about getting one and have the funds, go ahead and pull the trigger.

I wish I would have gotten mine sooner than I did. It sure does save a lot of time and effort. I also picked up the wide blade attachment for my big plane irons. Although, I'm never going to get to develop those Popeye forearms now.

Hartvile's site says spring sale, now through June 15. This is June 20. The posting date is yesterday. Some days are like that.

Ouch, it'll probably be back somewhere at $199 soon.

I just noticed that Woodcraft's normal listed price is $199 now with an additional slotted wheel, or leather hone. http://www.woodcraft.com/Family/2020...harp-3000.aspx
