    Good deal on DeWalt router

The add says clearance so maybe they are closing production on the 618 but there are none of the extra bases included as in the 2 and 3 base sets. I have two and they have not made so much as a hiccup in the four years that they have been at work.

I have 2 of the 3 base sets , and paid less for them. Amazon after rebate was $125, HD about the same and it had the edge guide too. This price is not really that good actually. I like the router, but not as much as the DW621. I want to sell off the extra bases.

      good deal on Dewalt router

Sounds like a good deal on a good router for sure. I have the 616 with plunge base, fixed base, and an edge guide...really like that edge guide with the micro adjust feature. The plunge base has some heavy springs on it and takes a bit to get used to when using....but overall not too bad.In my opinion, well made equipment for the money and what they are expected to do.

I use my 618 a lot and was concerned I might wear out the motor that came with my 2-base kit. When I searched for a new motor to have as a spare, it turned out I could get a whole 'nother kit for about the same price:

It is "reconditioned", but the one I received appeared to be unused. And I have extra baseplates, etc now.
