    Ryobi auto hammer for $19.88

For today only Home Depot Online has the 12v autohammer on sale for $19.88 + shipping. The reviews aren't that good and I'd rather not deal with another battery size-I have 18v Ryobi-the price looks ok for small nails in tight places.

Edit: for those who don't know-as I didn't- HD online charges sale tax as they have stores everywhere.

I was all excited and going to get one-

It's lithium, and all my stuff is old nicad, but it comes with a charger too. Then I looked at the Ryobi page and the battery is different than the old ones. It looks like they changed the battery shape for this 'second generation' of lithium batteries and while they'll work in all the lithium stuff, they won't fit the old nicad.

    Can anyone confirm or deny?

    Thanks

All that you've written is true. If I was walking through a HF store (we're supposed to get One here, but it's taking awhile) and saw Something similar for $20 to $25 I'd probably get it to try. I'd rather have it in 18v One+, but it looks like a deal.

Good catch- didn't even notice that it's 12v and not the standard 18v.

        Looking here:
        http://www.ryobitools.com/catalog/18v_oneplus#/overview
It appears that there are three different 18v battery styles now, but that they're still interchangeable.

I thought at first they had stopped making them interchangeable, but it's just 18v vs. 12v....
