    Nova Chuck G3

    Not sure if there are any wood turners around these parts, but if there are this really is a pretty good deal that woodcraft has been promoting, especially if you have a midi / mini lathe, I've been watching it but not sure I can justify (to the wife) an upgrade

    Woodcraft has the Nova G3 chuck for $149.99 .. at first blush its like yeah that's about $20-$30 more than it should be but this one includes a jaw promotional package ... it includes a set of 50mm Jaws, 35mm Bowl Jaws, Pin Jaws & Mini Cole Jaws. Thats about what I paid for my barracuda chuck with extra jaws but the barracuda has tommy bars and not a nice chuck key like the Nova has ... dang .... Oh free shipping through the 9th ....

      That does look like a pretty good deal on a really good chuck. I've got the mini 'Cuda on my 1014VS, and was glad it came with a key. Tommy bars are soooo last week.

          Thanks for the heads up! Looks like a great deal.

          Would this be a useful chuck system (with these jaws) for spindle turning long parts that range from 9/16" to 2" in diameter?

          Chuck Body (without insert)
          (1) 50mm Jaws
          (1) 35mm Bowl Jaws
          (1) Pin Jaws
          (1) Mini Cole Jaws
