    Home Depot Spring Black Friday?

I was wandering the BORG this morning and they had a pallet of shop vac's with a tag on them labeled "Spring Black Friday". Doesn't feel like spring yet, but something must be coming.

Not sure, but I found this map from last year. Looks looks like it was March 19th last year.

I saw a lot of blue tape with writing on it, on the floor of my HD. Looks like it starts this Friday.

When did HD start carrying Shop Vacs? I thought they only carried Ridgid Vacs.

Or did you mean "Lowes" which does carry Shop Vac?

My guess is that he meant "shop vacs" as in wet/dry vacs. Since its HD I would say they are the Ridgid brand or their cheaper Husky line.

I just got a flier with my newspaper today. It says that the black Friday sale is this weekend. This is at my store as far as I know. I don't know if it is at any other stores yet.

It's up on the front page of their website, so I guess it's happening everywhere...

Looks like it's regional. When I check orlando, FL I see the ad, but did not find the ad outside of the SouthEast region.

                            Regional Timing

I didn't see the sale on the web site either (11804), so I did a search on Google. It turns out the timing of the sale is region dependant. The following is from a press release:

The Company will implement Spring Black Friday on a market-by-market basis based on climate by geography. Like the traditional Black Friday that occurs the day after Thanksgiving to unofficially start the holiday shopping season, The Home Depot's Spring Black Friday marks the start of home improvement's busiest shopping season.

Beginning in the warmer, Southern and Western states on March 18 and in the colder, Northern states at a later date this spring, some of the door buster deals include: a grill that was $379 for under $200, select live goods buy one get one free, and a patio set for under $70.
