Anyone near L.A., Cali, need a Uni.

This looks like a great rebuild project, and the price is right,.., http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv...605522238.html

A mobile home mfg replaced their Uni's with SawStops a few years ago. The Unisaws were offered for $350 but they had 3 phase motors. One of the dealers on my route said the motors in the Uni's were propietary and only another Uni motor would work. At about $700 for a motor, the deal wasn't so sweet.

Uni's have a bracket built onto the motor, that's why the listing has "laser cut motor mounts"

This is what their motor looks like

That looks like a screaming deal for someone who has the time to put into it.

        Wow.

Because everone is so afraid of 3 phase. Real Delta uni motors are for sale cheap all the time.
Add a $150 phase converter and your off to the races

I will please beg the person who buys this not to cut out the orignal opening in order to shoehorn a mismatched motor.
