Doggonit, Tom, how do you keep finding these things? You haven't heard anything about clearing out OSS, have you?

Yep, here in Birmingham it seems like the clearance deals hit here about one week after Atlanta. I called last week and the bandsaw wasn't on clearance here, but I checked again today and now it is. EDIT: Actually I checked two stores here - one has it for $184 and the other is still at $369. Looks like I have to make a run this week (and hope that I can somehow still find one of the R4511's still in stock too).

Tom. What competitor coupon did you use to get the 20% off? Just curious.
          Thanks

HF is my guess. My HD took a HF coupon for the Tek4 pack when I bought it.

Has anyone seen this clearance on tools in Wisconsin? Close to West Bend and Madison stores. Looking at purchasing the Dewalt 735 planer.

Dewi, If you will call H.D.s customer care line they will locate the nearest R-4511 to you . It may take a few hours but they are getting better at taking care of customer request as of late. The sku is 750-663, Tommy

I've spent way too much $$$. In the past month I have purchased

                        Rid4511 table saw $299.00
                        Milwaukee SCMS $299.00
                        Ridgid Band saw $179.99
                        Ridigid Drill Press $179.99
Ridgid Jointer $301.00 (waiting to price match when it drops to $199)
                        Ryobi Tek 4 kit $49.00

Total Purchase Price $1279.00... full list price $2444.00

Everything is still in the box except the Tek 4 (a great buy!) and the SCMS. I have no room, I'm just waiting for the new house to be built with the 3 car garage (one bay for the workshop). Hopefully, we'll break ground this spring.

Total Purchase Price $1279.00... full list price $2444.00

I'm glad that I have a Jan birthday and saved HD gift cards. (I am in the hole $200.00 to the wife for gifts)

I found that the band saw and drill press were at a "smaller" HD (Parsippany) not too far from a larger HD (Fairfield). They still had 2 band saws and 2 jointers left.

Yep, I've been able to do that by calling the local store. There's a store about 10 min. from my office that supposedly has two left. Last time I was there they didn't have a display unit, so hopefully there are two still in the box. I don't need two, I'm just hoping there is at least one still left by the time I get there (can't go until Friday or Saturday). Sorry to hijack the thread.

You can call them & put it on a credit or debit card over the phone & they will hold it until you pick it up.

                                Same here,
                                - table saw, band saw, drill press in the last 2 weeks.
                                - Already had the router and planer, when Home Depot matched my 30% off HF grand opening coupon...

Add in the craftsman 921706 6" jointer, and 229250 15" drill press, a while back sears was even more aggressively clearing those out...

Point being, $1145 + tax for the 7 pieces above, and the workshop i never thought i could justify has suddenly become a sea of ORANGE.

It wasn't too long ago that i was drooling at merely the the steel city granite top near this price.
