Bosch ROS20VSK 120-Volt Variable Speed Random Orbit Sander Kit - $69 at Amazon

Great price for what looks to be a nice, newly updated bosch ROS:

Not a new product, and that's pretty much the standard price.

Go to Lowe's with your $10/50 coupon and walk out with it for $60+tax.

Not according to frozenwarrior which indicates this is the lowest Amazon has ever offerred it and, per their charts, it's been $89 for at least the last few months. The other sellers on Amazon (lower right of the screen) also list it for around $90.

Although toolseeker.com lists it as a "new" product, it was in fact released about 1 1/2 years ago and is an update of the popular Bosch 1295DVS.

Great, if I had one. Lowes' price has been $89 until they too recently lowered it to $69. Trend? I don't know.

I would rate it a deal - all things considered.

Oh, and welcome to the boards John.

Bought one in May 2008. Price at Lowe's before coupon - $69.

Bought one in March 2009. Price at Lowe's before coupon - $69.

Right now - price at Lowe's before coupon - $69.

I'm also fairly certain that the price at Amazon was $69 each of the times that I purchased.

Perhaps I just have immaculate timing, but my observation is that $69 is the normal price...

Not that great a deal for a sander that has a major issue , the center has a nickel size hole in the pad, bad idea, had to mod mine to keep from tearing the paper if you use it on anything that has an edge . I paid $39 at Lowe's last year for the previous model that seems better made than this newer one, it weighs a pound more, which make me think they cheapened the sander's build quality. The idea of std. hole for DC is an improvement. The DeWalt and PC I have are better, especially in power as they have 3A motors, vs. 2.2A and no hole in a critical area on the pad.
