Now THIS is a bargain Unisaw!

For what I can see, this seems to be a brand new still-packed Uni :

DELTA 36-L51X-BC50 10" Left Tilt 5-HP Cabinet Saw - $700. Even the fence is on top still in it's shipping pack.

Wonder what sort of a buyer's guilt s/he's going thru...?

That's definitely the buy of the day. Long Biesemeyer rails, 5 hp. If you have 220V it's a heckuva deal.

Maybe I'm getting too cynical, but when I clicked thru to the ad my first thought was exactly the same as toolguy's: yet another CL scam. One solid clue is the cut-and-paste inclusion of the specs, probably from amazon.com, with no added info to suggest the supposed seller even knows what a Unisaw is.

Incidentally, speaking of CL, if anyone is shopping for a older Miata, you're in luck. There's an absolutely lovely, very low-mileage, and extremely affordable 1994 M-Edition out there. In fact, a whole lot of anyones are in luck, because so far the car has shown up on CL in about 50 different cities.

It's an info-harvesting scam, methinks. There's a lot of them nowadays on Craigslist, usually touting some big-ticket item with a ridiculous price, nice photos, lotsa information... Around here, it's things like 2-year-old boats, loaded to the gills, worth $25-30K, priced at like $4K... Dead giveaway is there's never a phone number. You always have to e-mail the "seller", and then they gotcha.

Interesting that this is a JET, and definitely a different saw, though similar picture. Where do they get these pics?

This person has been making the same posts all over local CL communities.

Chicago IL, Hartford CT... just to add a few.

Both for this Delta saw, and some Jet equipment. Always shown on pallets in a warehouse, always unrealistic prices.

Scam or not scam, doing some math $700+$700 I do not have= $1400!

In another thread a couple of days ago I advised to check the serial number, etc, and the person that was selling the TS (Powermatic if I recall) for just $175 got a little bit upset, and I also did not realize that the webpage he was giving was his own advertisement; but the thing is that I’ve seen this type of scam lately more frequent than usual.
"The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases"....it happens the same with a big shop.
