The Lowes here in Federal Way, WA has the Freud SD208 on clearance for $79. I was going to pick it up but have read too much about the 8 inch being a little big for the BT3000.

Yes, there is a clearance problem in the BT3000 when an 8" dado is set up for a wide cut. A 6" dado set will give you plenty of depth for all but the most extreme dado cut, and without the clearance problems. The 8" dados work fine in many other 10" saws, though, so a bargain price could be very useful for some... -
Sadly we in the wet state didn't get the really nice clearance price of $49 on this. But $79 is still a good deal for a good dado set.Comment
