    Skil Wormdrive Mag Saw Clearance

Sears have been clearing these saws out for $58.97.

I went to the store today and they claim to have sent them all back already, but friend of mine says he was there on Thursday and they had about ten in their warehouse but wouldn't get them because they had been taken off the shelves already.

Spoke to a manager and she said they had been sent back. I doubt it!!! Anyway I convinced them to sell me the display model - go figure that was still out and on display!!!! Since there was no box, no manual and the fence screw was missing (don't think anything else is missing), they took off another 10%.

It's the magnesium model so not quite as heavy as the original tank. And since it hails from China, it probably won't last as long, but then it's under $60.

    This is the unit: http://www.skiltools.com/en/AllTools...=SHD77M&cid=45

I picked up the Bosch version of this saw a few months ago for $60 when Lowes cleared them out. The Bosch is nearly identical to the Skil, it's just blue instead of red.

Good saw, lots of power, my only complaint is that the shoe flexes. If you're cutting 2x4's this is not a big deal, because when the blade is extended you don't have much leverage over the shoe. When you're cutting plywood and you have the blade way up high the flex is noticable.

If I paid full price the flex would have been reason to return it, but for the price I paid I'm very happy with this saw. It is far superior to any other $60 saw.
