    Free Qt Glidden Paint

Free paint, just choose a color and they will send you a qt of interior eggshell.

    Glidden

I should mention, it's slow to load, I guess a lot of free paint is being given away, and you have until July 2 to get in on the deal.

    Bill,

    free, the best price!

Funny, I just bought 3 gallons of paint yesterday, in a Glidden color, but the guy at the Borg talked me into having it colormatched in a Behr paint. Since I've always used Behr in recent years and had no problems with it, that's what I did.

I just bought QT's of 3 different glidden colors for my daughters headboard. Two of the colors I need so little I probably could have gotten away with buying the samples that glidden has at the HD.

Did you get the paint with primer in it? They are advertising no primer needed because it's in the paint. Wondering just how it performs.

Unless Glidden has improved greatly over the years, free is still too expensive for me to get it. Last time I used Glidden for anything (many years ago now), it covered poorly. Of course, I say the same about Behr, but it's a well selling and popular paint, so maybe it's just me. I would not get the free paint and expect to use it for anything too important without testing it first.

I got my quart in red for the new shop cabinets I am making. Think it should work nicely.

I hate glidden paint and will not buy it. About 8 years ago I told the Glidden rep at work that I could drink food coloring and piss a thicker paint then they sold us. It didn't go over real well...

At work we buy Devflex paint. I used to buy Martin Senior paints but the hardware store a mile away went out of business. I used Behr Premium on one project and it worked fine for me. I was covering a very light blue with a tan and it was a 2 coat project.

No, just the standard "premium plus". We're repainting the brunt of our main level, so I don't need to prime except where I repaired some wall damage, which is easy enough to hit with regular primer. And the "primer included" stuff is about 50% more expensive...

With the eggshell, will you clear-coat for a more durable, glossy finish? Just wondering how the eggshell will hold up on cabs.

In any event, I won't thump a free watermelon...in for one. Thanks, OP.
