The 400 lb rating is rather optimistic. I've got a 250 lb bandsaw on one, and to flip the wheels up/down with my foot i have to also lift with my hands. The wheels also develop flat spots over time. It works okay for the $20 i paid, but it would be way overpriced at the list price and might get unusable when you get closer to 400 lbs.EricComment

I have one of these bases and I have to admit that its adequate but I wouldn't buy another one. I have my router table sitting on mine and I can still move the table around rather easily when in the down position. It would probably be more stable if I had something heavier on it but for my application its probably not the best choice._________________________

I have my BS on one as well. It's ok, but not nearly as nice as the Herc-U-Lift 2 I have the BT3K on. Too bad they discontinued it, although it wouldn't work on a BS anyway...
Maybe it's just me but I find the "casters in front, straight wheels in rear" to be really hard to maneuver, especially when you have a very topheavy tool like a BS. It doesn't help that I typically have sawdust/whatever on the floor that the tiny wheels don't like to roll over...Comment

According to what Scott posted, it must now be their regular price. YOW on the S&H charge.
