Actually, it's cheaper if you can pick one up at 39.99 and a 20% coupon = $32. Our 2 HF's won't let you use a specific item coupon with a %off coupon. In fact, lately their computer won't let you use a %off coupon if there's any specific item coupons on the receipt - they have to do separate transactions. The clerks love that.

Oh, and what little I've used mine it's worked well. There's also a new lithium cordless one.

I just used mine to undercut casing for flooring and it worked great. The only problem is that I had to tighten the blade a few times. There are no pins to lock it in place.

I just ordered one a few days ago. It shipped, but all of the blades, sandpaper etc did not! They were marked as refunded, not backordered. So you can buy the tool but no consumables?

They also 'refunded' the special-size air hose to go with the air brush kit which shipped.

I am not a happy camper...

I was at HF in Memphis this morning and they had dozens in boxes that included the basic saws and sanding disks in the box. Outside of the box, the only consumables that I was were the half moon saw blades.

One of the HF workers commented to me "I don't see what all the commotion over a little tool is about." Apparently they have been selling like hot cakes there.

Yeah, they have been selling fast. I had been trying to get one every time it went on sale, which was almost continually, but they were always sold out. Finally I snagged one - which left only one more on the shelf at the time. If you consider the price of the Fein then it makes total sense. It is a nice little tool and well worth the price.

We have two local stores, i go to one usually since it is much cleaner and neater. They have yet to get a single one in the store. They keep saying that they just can't get them, and they have been trying really hard.

I was in the other store for the first time in a couple years last week and they had 20+ sitting on the shelves, kinda pissed me off.

              Still didn't buy one though.

Yes, still happy with it. Mine was $32 also.

My store gets its shipments every Thursday, so for a couple of weeks I just called in on Thursday to see if they'd come in yet. When they had, I asked them to hold one for pick-up and they were happy to do that.
