    How did you assess you X-cut rating? I wonder if the 9" 30T would be better than the 10" 30T as I would guess it has a higher effective TPI.
    It's really just subjective assessment of freedom of tearout, burn marks, and blade marks.

    You could be right about the 9" crosscutting better, but there's also a slight increase in the attack angle of the teeth due to the tighter radius, which in turn could cause slightly more tearout....one characteristic may offset the other a bit. Probably fairly minute differences...likely more "theoretical" than noticeable in use, but I'm just guessing...
