Did you scan it? I'm told its marked down in PA, DE so MD is probably going to be in the same regional pricing plan.

Bought the set the other day. $129 - 10% Lowes coupon.

        Rating: 5 Stars. Excellent!

The dual speed drill/driver is great but requires hex shank drill bits or a 1/4" hex to chuck adapter. I wouldn't use either option for precision drilling but for everything else it is more than adequate. Off the top of my head, I don't know any other compact 1/4" drill/driver that has two speeds. I see Bosch (and Makita) are following Ridgid and introducing "larger compact lithium drills" with 3/8" adjustable chucks. Cute. Bigger than these but smaller than regular size corded drills.

The light is neat in that it stays on for a few seconds after use. The batteries are super compact and charge quickly.

Question: Thinking back, mine came charged. Did anyone else's or did I get a return? Also, did the drill and impact driver come in plastic bags? Only my charger did. Everything seems a-ok so no biggie. Thanks

        Greg

EDIT: You can see the new 3/8" 10.8 drill that is already being sold in Canada with the impact driver as a kit as well as the 10.8 flashlight that comes in the new release of the above kit (which I assume is why they're clearing these out)

If you are wanting this try Amazon. They have a it listed for $153 and they have a $30 promo listed also. The Promo says it is for 18volt kits but it takes the $30 off when you get to the confirmation page. Hope this helps

Awesome price. I saw it for the borg price during last black Friday which was a good price but that Amazon price is that much better.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Does anyone know if this is battery-compatible with the Bosch version that looks almost identical?

Makita+Milwaukee+Bosch+Ridgid+etc 10.8-12V powered tools use the same triangular-shaped battery pack for the most efficient packaging of the three cells per battery. Each manufacturer has unique battery attachment points thus none are interchangeable without modification. FYI: only found on the Bosch packaging is the explanation of the marketing of 12V maximum power versus 10.8V nominal power.

Will the Bosch 10.8V packs fit and work in the 12V tools, then?

I picked this set up Friday and am very happy with the amount of power for the small size.
Mine came charged also, but I put the batteries on the charger to top them off.
I was hesitant about the hex bits for the driver, but am looking at getting this set so that I can replace with regular drill bits when these break or wear out:

In reference to the Bosch Litheon™ Battery Technology:
The Bosch 10.8V batteries work in the Bosch 12V power tools and viceversa. The Bosch marketing guys figured they need to market the 12V (max) output just like its competitors instead of marketing just the 10.8V nominal output (honest).

                      From the Bosch website:
For use with all Bosch 10.8V / 12V Max Litheon™ tools
                      Use only with Litheon 10.8V / 12V Max Litheon™ Charger -- BC430

I found several positive comments about the power of this thing, but it seems inadequate for me. Am I the only one who thinks this thing lacks power? I was trying to use it to screw pocket screws into poplar, and it couldn't do the job. Seems if it couldn't do that it may have some trouble screwing into any hardwood.

I own the Bosch PS20 drill/driver + PS40 Impactor. The 10.8V-12V impact driver are perfect for lighter-duty projects like cabinet installation/repair. I use them for driving screws (minmal to no head damage) after drilling small pilot holes with the drill. Pilot holes depend upon the specific project and wood hardness. I have used the impact driver for removing stubborn, rusty bolts on my vehicles. Extra rusty or tight bolts required my 18V impact driver. The Makita drill/driver is more powerful than my PS20 and if I did not own the PS20/PS40 I would definitely buy the Makita drill+impact @129 +/- coupon.

That's good news - I had just bought the last of the 10.8V batteries on clearance at Lowes for $11.25 each. I was going to exchange them for the ($45!!!) 12v, but sounds like I am OK with the 10.8V.

FWIW, of the two Lowes I visited (within 5 miles of each other), one had marked them down to $11.25 and the other to $42 (original price around $45). So it pays to shop different Lowes stores.

                            Thanks!!
