    Ryobi LiIon kits

I have been hitting the local HD and Lowe's for closeout deals on door hardware. Both are cosing out the Kwikset Rustic Bronze color.

In my wanderings I have seen the 4 piece LiIon kit marked down in a couple of stores as "slow moving". One store had them for $50 off the $299 regular price. I think it was in the I-35 / Slaughter Ln store that I saw a price of $199. Might be worth checking out your local BORG if you are in the market for cordless tools.

I'm watching for the spare batteries to get marked down!

    Pappy,

Ryobi replaced their old 4 piece and 2 piece LiIon kits with new ones. The new ones contain the Autoshift drill. The new 4 pc has one full-size and one half-size battery and the new 2 pc has 2 half-size batteries. What you saw in Slaughter is a clearance sale on the old 4 pc kits. The old 2 pc kit (drill, flashlight and 2 full size LiIon batteries with charger) was being cleared out at $99. Picked one up myself at that price. The sale on the 2 pc kit was covered in a separate post.

Over xmas I picked up the Ridgid deal for $$199, It has the auto shift drill driver, the impact driver, shop radio, flashlight, quick charger and two L ion 18 volt batteries in gym bag. My De Walt 14v drill needs new batterys, for $140. Seemed like a no brainer on the Ridgid deal. The Ridgid batterys are garenteed for life. Just waiting for warmer weather to put them to work.
