    More Lowes Deals

Talked to a friend/manager at Lowes, The Delta 36-979 Table Saw and the 16,1/2 inch Drill Press have also gone N/S(non stock) No price yet on the T/S, but the drill press can be had for $200 + tax. Again this varys by store and inventory. Over on Woodnet.com there is a forum dicussion on the Lowes clearance items and a posted receipt for the D/P. So if you want the DP at that price I would suggest you print a copy and get your store to pricematch it(most will). My friend/manager will let me know on the T/S price when it drops below 300, Good Luck, Tommyt

I checked the same tablesaw in the local Lowes just the other day and it is priced at $450.

Yep, and the DP (17-950L) was in the $350 range. None of the local Lowes seem aware of any closeouts. They even had the old-style Bessey K-bodies at full price, next to the new Revos.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing at the area Lowe's. All the good prices I've gotten at Lowe's had been the south Arlington store (50.00 Biese fence-open box) and the east Dallas I-30 store (210.00 Hitachi 10" slider). The Tarrant stores just don't offer tool deals that much. Oh, the Bryant Irvin store did have the Delta 52-580 planer about 4 1/2 years ago at 229.00 less my 10% movers discount. Yes, we had just moved. But lately nothing there, White Settlement, Lake Worth, nor Weatherford. I even looked at the one in Sherman last month when I was up there for my Dad's surgery. Jim.

Is that you, Jim O of West Fort Worth and SMC? James Carmichael here. We gotta hook up sometime, I'm right down the road from you in Benbrook, next door to Markum Ranch and the old equestrian center (now a church).

I commute daily to Euless, so I'll try to check out a mid-cities borg today. I have gotten some good deals in the past from the Lake Worth (my Makita CMS), and West FW stores, but the latter were on demo units. They always seem to be the last holdouts.
