      Freud router

After reading all the "reviews" here I went to two Lowe's in the area, both were out of them so I ordered on on line, $103 to my door. I can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the heads up.

A decent router with VS and soft start. But a bad (sliding) on/off switch. Otherwise, a great addition..

I picked one up from Home Depot, and installed it in my 21289 using a plywood mounting plate. It works fine (not that I'm an afficionado of routers or anything) and seems to be of good quality. At this price point, a 2.5 HP router with dual bases is just too good a deal to pass up.

            Freud Router

Well, UPS brought my new Router yesterday from Lowe's. I haven't had time to use it yet but it looks sturdy and does run quiet. They have now started to charge $4.95 shipping. Time will tell if this is a good router or not but I am very happy so far. If you are in need of a router, or a second one, this is a great price for a 2 1/4 H.P. router with both bases.

I just got an e-mail flyer from Woodcraft. They are running the kit at $129.99, It's still $249.99 at Amazon.

Don't feel too bad. I was suprised to see them while picking up materials. Two local HDs had dedicated shelf space for the Freud router and the Milwaukee V28 drill/reciprocating saw.

I've seen them on their website. I'm going to buy from Lowe's online as their shipping at 4.99 is less than sales tax and the gas to get there and back (closest Lowes or HD is about 20 miles from my place).

Lowe's website shows them as out of stock. Do you know something the rest of us do not?

i just bought the last one the Home Depot store had in my area 99.00 for that router is a real buy. I have the same one without the plunge base that i paid 215 for about 2 years ago in my router table and am very pleased with it so i just couldn't turn it down.

Drats... I waited too long. They showed as available just a couple days ago!

                            Guess I'm off to HD
