    HF Support bar - $8.59

Harbor Freight has their 2-in-1 Support/Cargo Bar for $8.59 with coupon until 8/29. I picked up a couple at the last sidewalk sale and found them pretty nice to have for the price.

If I remember correctly, there were some documented and well-publicized cases of injurious failure of the HF unit... Hopefully they have improved it...

I have a couple of these, they are pretty handy, but you do have to remember they are rated for only 60 lbs or something. I generally use them to "tweak" cabinets after they are already hanging, or in the truck to hold things in place.

Do you have a reference? I couldn't find anything on google.

        Thanks.

I've got a couple that I use in my truck. Never had a problem with either of them and for the money they cost, I think they're great.

No, it was just one of those "light bulb moments". When I get a minute, I'll do some digging...

I bought some of these yesterday and when they rang up the normal price was $9.99 not $14.99, so the coupon discount was good ($1.49) but not the great $6.40 listed.

Still, these are great to use with plastic drop cloths to set up temporary dust barriers on a job site. At $8.59 much cheaper than other solutions.

Not sure if they were already on sale or if $9.99 is the new price for them. HF pricing can be impossible to understand at times.
