I reject your reality and substitute my own.

has anyone had success combining this with the current offer for "free shipping on any order?"

That looks like an in-store coupon.

Correct. It's in the fine print. Rockler continues to demonstrate that they don't give a rat about online buyers.

          Other than free shipping?
Their online prices in the "outlet" frequently beat the in-store prices as well.

I went to spend my Rockler rewards money last week and they did not have the item (Leigh router bits) in stock so I was basically told to order it online. I didn't mind too much since I knew I had free shipping, but I like to support the local store when I can. They didn't seem too concerned.
Getting to my point; nothing is perfect. The local Woodcraft store is worse if anything

My problem with Rockler is that they have all kinds of coupons and other deals that are good only in the stores. I don't have a store in my town (in my state, actually), but my money is just as green. But Rockler doesn't care about cutting us a break.

... take advantage of the free shipping whenever it's on then... to be honest, i would rather order online and get free shipping then run errands to our local stores anyhow.

...conversely, my beef with rockler is that when you print out these email specials and bring them in, they look at you like you've got corn stalks growing out of your ears and grumble about how they're doing YOU a favor by honoring the rockler coupon this one time.

Well, maybe they really don't want our business in person or online...
