Freud 2 1/2 hp. router at Lowes for $129.00

I have been trying to decide which router to buy for a router table which I intend to make. Last night I finally decided to go with a Milwaukee brand until I was walking thru Lowes this evening. I saw they had the Freud FT1702VCEK on clearance for $129.00. The original price was $199.00 I came home and did a search to see the reviews (including this site) and found it is a topnotch router especially for mounting in a table. This one has the plunge base included in the package. It is rated at 2 1/2 hp. with 13 amps. I had trouble getting a salesman to help me. When one finally showed up, he stated "lets open it up to make sure everything is there. If not, I can give you a better price". We opened it up and found everything to be there, but I asked him how much lower he could go. He told me how about $100.00. I told him to consider it sold. So if anyone is interested, I think you can get a real deal if you ask for a little lower price. Just for the record, I am not affilated with Lowes. I checked Lowes website and it is on clearance at all stores.

That's a great deal! I have the FT1700 and use in my router table most of the time....I also have a very stout MW5625 but prefer the above table features of the FT1700.

At the top of the page click on User CP then Edit Profile. You can change your signature line, addess and all sorts of other fun things.
