    Email Scratch&Save

Has anyone else received one of these from Rockler?
I have tried several times and cannot figure out where the promotion code is located?
Does it appear when the 'cart' is entered?
Why doesn't the word 'planing' show up in my computer spell check?

As I recall, Rockler doesn't have a place to enter promo codes and such in their order mechanism. You have to tell them what you have in the "Special Instructions" text box, and they update the transaction after-the-fact.

Rockler has one of the best websites for product search, display and information, but one of the most primitive when it comes to order placing or 'customer recognition'. Rarely have I seen a website that gives Overview, More Info, Reviews and Larger (or multiple) images, for each and every product. If you notice, somebody painstakingly enters a ton of info for each trivial thing they sell. And wherever possible, they even respond to reviews with some information that might be relevant.

At the same time, their login process itself is not consistent. They don't have a 'login' button or link; you get there via the 'My Account' link. Under certain circumstances (have not figured out when), that link insistently demands you 'sign up' with them by supplying an new email and password when all you want is to use past credentials. And as Uncle mentioned, many times their checkout page does not show a place for the promo code (other times, it's there on the checkout page above the billing address). And yes, they have this quaint prompt on that page :
      " Rockler Customer Number
(If you know it): " !
No coincidence, because if you forget to note down your customer number at the order confirmation page, you never see it again!

Anyway, rant over - answer to the op : the discount appears when you do a checkout. Since they are using cookies, you should do this in the same browser/session.
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

So what % off did everyone get? I got 15 - big deal since you can't use it on anything really good anyway.

Just a guess of course, but it looks like the 15% coupons are just about universal for registered customers. I had a fairly big order to place last week and was going to use the promotional code from the email. When I went to check out, the discount was applied before I did anything. I didn't need anything yesterday but out of curiousity (just in case ) I checkeded yesterday and the scratch & save was also 15% when I checked it.

15% here as well. I hate that it said I "won" it. I hate that gimmick stuff.

                OK, thanks all.
Mine was 15% as well. I guess I didn't take the checkout process far enough.

Did ANYONE get more than 15%? Are they just flat out lieing about discounts going all the way to 50%? Do they think we are all idiots that never talk to each other?
