That's a major discount! I can't say from personal experience how good it is, but Amana is a well respected company and "Prestige" is one of their better lines AFAIK. The design looks good too....you got 4-tooth chippers and 24T cutters for the price of a good set with 2-tooth chippers and 12T cutters. The carrying case should be really handy too. Let us know!

That price is well below cost (mine anyway). Was it an Amazon direct sale? The NYS tax thing makes me wonder if Amana themselves were shipping the blades because they're in NY. Could have been another retailer too.

Good luck, that is an awesome deal. Post back who the shipper was when the blades arrive, need to satisfy my curiosity.

It was direct from Amazon, not a 3rd party. I'd need to check the box (if I still have it) to determine where it was shipped from.

Also, I thought New York now requires taxes to be collected on all internet orders (for retailers that sell more than $10,000 in thier state).

Amazon (as well as other online retailers) will now be charging NYS Sales tax to orders shipped to NYS.
