coupon troubles

I understand that the applications website tracks you by your ISP address and thus limits the number of coupons issued. So for a dial up each time you go online you are under a different address. DSL is different.
Apparently Lowes is shuting this down. you could still apply for the email reply on Saturday evening but the click on link that they send was not working You get message "Password Expired"
A member on FatWallet had a work around that allowed you to retrieve a coupon if you already had the email reply by using a direct web address(see fatwallet) but that might be shut down by now.
Have heard that these have be sighted on ebay going for 99 cents
I have used one successfully at Expo (owned by HD) to get a $25 lockset for $10
The manager told the cashier to do a price match but they insisted on putting in the $10 discount where the register was asking for the competitors item price. I pointed this out but manager said that was the only proceedure they were set up to use. ??
I would guess as the millions (guess) of coupon gets dispursed, we will see more and more managers refusing them even at Lowes. PS you can always use the self-check out if you have a good UPC #
Pretty odd for a promotion that is stated to last until July 30

Not according to my experience.

Still works fine for me.

I seriously doubt any Lowe's is going to refuse a Lowe's coupon with a valid barcode.

I received a coupon in the mail today in addition to the Email coupon I received last month. No lowe's around here for 150 miles, I'll try them at HD.

just repeating something that I had read. Have you been able to get more that 6 from same web adddress?
Still works fine for me.
must have been some kind of problems in their servers. up and working fine as of 1330 PST Tuesday

I have had several coupons with valid codes refused by difficult store managers in the past but not at Lowes. They have refused to even enter the code and distainfully calling it an "internet" coupon
And here you have the option of using the self checkout computer at least in newer stores

They do cut an IP address off at a certain point. Many customers can power-cycle their DSL/Cable modem and get a new IP address [but what happens when someone that has never tried to get a coupon gets an IP address that has had too many coupons issued? I imagine they will just think, "Lowes sucks" and move on. Perhaps Lowes "resets" their database every few days.]

You know this from personal experience, or are you repeating an internet rumor like the other poster?

If you know it from personal experience, what is the magic number?

My personal experience says you are wrong, or the magic number is very large...

Don't know the magic number (I think it is about 10-15). See the attached screen shot.

Yep, just hit the per-IP limit myself.

Switched to a new machine and the magic number on that machine was 15.

They must have lowered it or added it somewhere along the way - got much farther on the first machine.

It was 19 coupons for me 3 times after which the ip is blocked. I have used 30 odd coupons till now.
