Just glommed this from another website. I took a quick look elsewhere, seems to be a very good price. NO FENCE!! It seems as if they're leaving you plenty of room to buy one though, at this price.

Does anyone know how this saw stacks up? Is it worth the money, especially because it comes without any fence at all.

$600 shipped with no fence is a decent deal for this saw IMHO....~ $750 for the DW746 and the Delta T2 fence isn't too shabby.

The stock fence was the weak link IMO at regular price, so this deal would actually have more appeal to me than charging for the stock fence. It does include stock steel wings vs cast iron on most of it's competitors. The innovative feature of "the only inboard induction motor in its class" is now common place with a slew of new hybrids that feature Biese style fences, cast iron wings, and full enclosures, but unlike the others, it's American made. Current competition would include the new Jet Proshop 780482k, the Craftsman 22114, and it gets you close to the two Grizzly hybrids, the Woodtek, the 22124 on sale, and the GI 50-220 on sale.

DeWALT started shipping those saws shortly after I purchased my BT3K. So, they've been around a while and are well regarded. The first time I saw one in person it had the optional sliding table (also highly regarded) and I was very impressed with the build of the saw.
