    Hybrid Delta $399

I went down to the Smokey's for spring break and stopped in at Workshop Tools. They had refurb Delta industrial hybrid saws for $399. It was bare bones with no miter guage or fence. The bad news is sales tax is almost 10%. They also still have RT bare bones unisaws for $999.Here is link a link to a sample of the Hybrid. Remember, it is saw only.

For those in the area, Workshop Tools is a great place to visit. They have a lot of unusual items that aren't found in Lowe's or HD. The sales tax in Tennessee is one of the highest in the nation because we have no state income tax.

      • Delta 36-979 w/Biesemyere fence kit making it a 36-982. Previous saw was BT3100-1.

Dang, that's a great deal. I paid that for my new 36-979 at Lowe's. It did come with the miter gauge, and I put the $80 Bies fence on it. However, I'd love to have the hybrid or cabinet saw, especially at that price.

So, if you have the Bies that we picked up at Lowe's for $80, the saw for $400, you could get the miter gauge off the 'Bay for less than $50 and have a great setup. Of course, this is not counting taxes, but y'all get the idea. My sales tax in Montgomery, AL proper is 10%. If I have a big purchase at HD, I go to the new one just outside city limits (literally across the higway from city limit). Tax there is 6.5%. That's also where the Wally World is that we frequent. The taxes I save far offset the gas, since I'm talking 10 miles round trip.
