Wish I needed one, or knew someone who did. I have the top end Bosch, which is still like new. I should sell that one for $90 and buy this one ;-) It's only $10 more than the HF Chicago Electric Bosch clone... pretty good deal.

with this one and bosch 1590 & hitachi (cant remember the model number), i am now confused which one to get. does anyone know how the compare to each other?

In the 2008 Taunton Tool Guide, the Bosch 1590 was "Best Overall" and the Hitachi was "Best Value". The Milwaukee 6268 (which I own and love) was their second favorite ofter the Bosch. I used to own the Freud and I hated it and gave it away, didn't even bother to sell.

If it helps you decide, I just returned mine. Came with oil leaking from undisclosed places, really soaked in it. I got the 1590 instead. 3x as much, but a lifetime tool from what I'm hearing.

Yeah. It comes in a plastic bag and i was stupid enough to slide the tool out onto my dining room table! Oil everywhere, I would say a good ounce.
