new Ridgid model msuv 9944, $99.99 at HD

Well ,the title pretty much sums it up. Just got back from HD and they had 5 of the new 9944 Ridgid miter saw stands in front of the aisles at $99.99. I think the nominal price on this is either $169 or $199, not sure which. If you enter Ridgid msuv, 9940, or similar in our search box, I'm sure there's some info there.
Check what the feature differences are first, but I think it had a couple more things than the old 9940, so for all you folks who missed the 9940 at $50, hope this helps you out a bit.

You don't need a parachute to skydive, you only need a parachute to skydive twice.

That's how much they were yesterday in the West Tn area, although the regular price was listed as $179.99.

It is $99.99 at my store in Iowa. I just picked one up. I have wanted one of these for quite awhile now, but the $170 was stopping me. For $100 I can't pass this up. I missed out on the previous version clearance price. Thanks again for the heads up. Great Deal. Also, the price tag on the display was still $169, but when I called to ask if it was on sale, they said yes, until the end of the month. So make sure you ask, if by chance, the sale price is not displayed. Bill

                Just Bought two

                Thanks for the price alert.
I just bought two. I have two of the older design.
This type is good with the added improvement of the power tool mounting system.
The earlier model had a steel base plate with some mount holes and if they didn't align with your model saw, you had to drill some added holes. This I did for my Dewalt 12" CSMS.
The new version has two sliding mounts that also have within them sliding mount plates, so that you have adjustments in two planes (NS & EW).

Best of all was the price -down from $179.99 to $99.99.
I got both for $!80.00 ($!99.98- less 10% Veteran Discount).
So with my Vet discount I got two for the price of what one originally cost.

                  Why so Many?

I have two Dewalt MS. One 12 inch CMS, and one 12 inch SCMS.
I plan to mount my new Hitachi Planer on number three.
As for number 4, I'll think of something.
Bottom Line- Think beyond Miter Saws for these great "Utility Vehicles"

My HD has 32 of these, and I want to buy one. Will it fit a 10" miter saw?

Purchased one today for $99.99. I plan on mounting the new DW 735 planer on it. I took measurements on it while in HD this afternoon & I'm going to have to make an adapter board to mount the planer to, then the board to the mounting clamps. No step for a stepper as my old machine shop teacher used to say.

With an extra set or 2 of these mounting clamps, one MSUV will serve several purposes & the machines not in use can be stored away conserving shop space.

It will fit an old 8 track stereo if you have one!
The sliding mount adjusts East- West and North - South.
Anna, just go for it, the price is right, the quality is there, and many things (George Foreman Grill) will fit. I think you would be hard pressed to find something that wouldn't fit.
