Am I missing something? Your link takes me to the Rockler front page, and there is no mention of the discount, even if I poke around.
I don't know what is wrong. The attached Thumbnail is showing in my link about 4 lines down.
* This offer excludes Sale items, Leigh Jigs, Porter-Cable dovetail jigs, Festool products, Bubinga Lumber, Direct Ship items and Rockler Gift Cards. This offer cannot be combined with other offers or applied to previous orders. Hurry, offer expires 4/6/08. For Retail purchases use coupon code 2004.
No Unk, you didn't miss anything. The offer is sent to, and restricted to, members of the Rockler Rewards program.
I see... figured it might be something like that. I'm still pissed off that they gave discounts out to retail store customers for Nordy's birthday, but refused to extend the same offer to online customers, whose money is just as green, and doesn't cost as much for Rockler to get. Their marketing philosophies are beyond my understanding.
Well, I am a "Charter" rewards program member, and when I access the link, using either MS Internet Explorer or the Firefox browser, that $10 discount is nowhere to be seen. And I do get the "Welcome, John" message, so they know it's me.
I don't have a store near me so I'm a strictly online customer.
Pecker, did you get the email coupon? When was the last time you ordered something?
I ordered from them 3 times last month (free shipping). Maybe you have to go there from an email link, and not the one that was provided at the beginning of this thread.

ME TO!
Just got off the phone from Rockler -- the $10 off is only for in-store retail customers. I also must deal with them through the mail or internet. I think I will cancel the order.
This is copied from the email I recieved from Rockler.

Can't copy the link because it looks like it is coded so that they know which individual email it came from. Anyway you can add the "v8760" code during checkout and it applies the $10 discount. (I verified this.)
I just got a copy at all my email addresses today. You guys complained and they listened. It is NOT for instore use only - it specifically mentions internet.
"For a limited time, we’re offering non-members a taste of what it’s like to be part of the Rockler Rewards program. Now through April 6th, take $10 OFF a purchase of $30 or more, and start receiving benefits today!"

Interesting!
Neither the Rockler person who called me about the discount (and told me it applies only to retail sales) or the person I talked to when I cancelled my order (and telling her why) mentioned that. AND, we both were looking at the add copy when we talked on the phone.
I guess we looked at the wrong part of the message and should have looked at the "full disclaimer". Its still a **** of a way to treat loyal customers.
