You have to be careful reading these Amazon ads! There was a 'special offer' for $25 off, so it's only.....$387.15! Now, we have a bargain! Maybe we do????!! (read post below!)

Bostitch tools have always been way overrated and way over priced.
The manufacturer considers their tools superior to all others and that, in their eyes, justifies the prices. They never bought into the price wars that brought the other tools down in price....PC...Senco....Paslode...etc.
Milwaukee tools is still that way to some extent because they target the service industry more than the craftsman, hobbyist or homeowner.
Why doesn't the word 'planing' show up in my computer spell check?

I don't know about this stapler but when you step into real "Industrial" tools they price jumps up significantly.

                    OT
you can look in the Ingersoll Rand catalog (for example) a mechanics grade impact wrench might be $250, buy the industrial version and it will be $750. they are made differently with much tougher parts inside. Industrial tools are designed for production assembly line work all day everyday. It is hard to explain that difference to management but in the same conversation they want to know why the regular duty tools we buy are breaking down.
