MLCS is my normal source for router bits for three reasons. First, I find their quality pretty good. CMT is better. Whiteside is probably better (I only have one and haven't used it much but it works). I have not used Bosch or Freud bits. I have a Jointech cope and stick set but haven't used it yet. It looks good but not better than my MLCS bits. I have only used straight bits long enough to wear them out. Profile bits last me a long time regardless of the brand. I have MLCS cope and stick bits and panel raisers that have made a lot of doors and still work fine. I made a bunch of base moulding for our last house with a MLCS roman ogee bit and it still works fine. I would not hessitate to buy a MLCS set because of quality concerns. They are good bits. If you wear one out, you will have gotten your moneys worth.

The other reasons I buy MLCS is their prices are low (much below price cutters unless it's a super sale price) and their shipping is free and pretty fast. I get bits delivered to my house in less than a weak. I think that is great service.

I do not buy sets, however, I just buy what I need. I have slowly accumulated a pretty good collection but will be buying more as long as I keep making sawdust. Having a good excuse to buy another tool of some sort is part of the fun to me.

      I really enjoy my set

I have the set of 33 bits from MLCS and have loved them, I do a moderate amount of woodworking and was originally concernied about using them all I think after 2 years I still have 5 or six I havent used but when everything is said and done it was a great deal for me.

Also look out for the Woodline 66pc set from Amazon.com. They had them down to $88 or so last year for the set - helluva deal. And Woodline bits have a lifetime warranty.
