Delta AP400 1HP Dust Collector Single Stage DC 179.99 at Rockler

Just got the ad for Rockler's sale that starts Saturday Mar 8. They have this Delta DC for 179.99 - Regularly 229.99

Don't know anything about it, but it seemed like a good deal. Anybody have any opinions on this DC?

Don't know how hot the Rockler price is. The Delta AP-400 is also $179 at Lowes.

I've had one (same machine / different model #) for five years.

    PROS:
    > #1 Pro: Price (on deal) I paid $75 at Lowes when model num was changed from 50-775 to AP-400 and name was changed to ShopMaster. Same machine. Yes, that's a gloat!
    > #2 Pro: Small footprint. Good for small shop.
    > #3 Pro: Less current draw than larger machines. A friend had to rewire his shop when he hooked up his HF dust collector.
    > Light enough to roll to each machine for hookup.
    > Although low powered, it still works OK when I connect it to a 30-gal chip separator for my planer, jointer, and when sweeping up.

    CONS:
    > Comes with 30-micron bags. (Some ads state 5-micron, but all that I have seen have 30-mic bags) I bought Delta 5-mic bags, but it still pumps dust out.
    > Better bags or canister will significantly increase total cost.
    > Probably not enough power to plumb your shop with multiple hookups. I connect to one machine at a time ... roll to each. Keep hose runs short.
    > Price may be high, compared to other choices. HF DC can be bought for low to mid $200's on deal. Penn State and others may have better deals. EDIT: The HF DC is low to mid $100's on deep deal, currently on sale at $179.99. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=45378

    BOTTOM LINE:
The small size and low current drain are perfect for my small shop. Not to mention the price that I paid. I'm glad that I bought it.

I may have got a lemon but I returned mine after throwing sawdust in the hose and watching 75% fall back to the ground. I would get something(almost anything) else.
