Senco 3 nailer kit now $99 at HD

I was just in my local HD (Phoenix) and saw they had a bunch of the 3 nailer kits - 15ga angle finish, 18ga brad, 18ga staplers for $99 reduced from $209.

I am still on the fence about nailers, I was considering the PC 3 combo kit. My local rockler still has some recon'd ones for $229. Both 18ga brad nailers are only up to 1 1/4".

Now I was wondering if its better to get this Senco kit and look out for a good deal on a compressor. Do the Senco nailers only take Senco nails?


All suggestions welocme and I hope the same deal is available near you if you need nailers.

Can't beat those 3 nailers for $99. I would go back now and get them before their gone (worst case you can always return them).

All of the nailers in that kit will take the standard nails (at least they did last time I checked). The only one in question is the angled finish nailer, but last I checked the only oddball brand for angle is Bostitch. The only negative I have heard about those nailers is that the rubber grip can wear out over time. However, i could live with that for saving $130 over the other kit.

I would get them if it were me. Great deal.

Get the senco kit, then pickup a Makita mac700 compressor. amazon has them for under $150 occasionally. Better guns, better compressor for just slightly more.

I am a professional trim carpenter and use senco guns daily, overall they are nice. I actually had that kit, paid $200 for it a couple years ago, just sold it to a co-worker for $130 a month or so ago. I just sold it since I have more guns than I know what to do with.

Well, the PC 3 gun combo is normaly $299 new, and the compressor independent of the kit is about $169. So all things being equal, you're looking at about $130 for the PC guns if you buy the kit, and that's new. However, the PC is 16ga, 18ga and the stapler, no 15 ga. I don't have any experience with Senco guns, but PC are excellent. Look for reviews of both sets of guns (Amazon?) and that might help you decide. I never heard of the Makita compressor, that sounds interesting, I'd look for that also. If you have no compressor, the guns are useless, so you kind of have to make a decision on what's available now or decide to hold the guns and wait for a compressor sale.

No sku handy but the number off my receipt (next to the item name) is : 7 4 1 4 7 4 3 0 8 0 9 3

I believe they can search by that number as well.

I am not in need of these but there are a few guys here at work that are looking for them. I called HD and the only store in Columbus that has these is the store in Westerville. 2 guys from work are stopping to get the set on the way home but they were supposed to have 6 of them in stock.

If your going to get the 3 gun special and go after a compressor later, I would get a compressor with more capacity than that needed for the nail guns.

I purchased a combo setup from PC and now I want to move into spraying and I don't enough capacity in my pancake compressor.

I have PC and Bostich guns and like them both.

Saw two kits in the HD off of route 611 in Horsham, PA area...one rolling bag in clearance area and one hard case version up high with the nailers. Number of other clearance power tools as well.
