These sales always happen after I pay full price. The sander is around $129 at Lowes now after I paid full price of $149 there when they came out. The $108 price is like stealing with permission.

    Excellent sander for the money....

i bought one of these at lowes for $149, too. maybe i just got a bad one but it's noisy and vibrates heavily. i've played around with the adustments but to no avail. it gets good reviews on amazon, so like i said, maybe i just got a bad one?

Same here. Just bought on at $129 at Lowes 3 weeks ago. No vibration issues with mine. Saved me alot of time building pinewood derby cars this year. Bought the rubber belt dresser & it makes the belt look like new after use. The belt dressers are about $6 at Lowes & about $4 at HD.

There were a couple of threads on this sander back in Oct or Nov of last year. If I remember right the noisy and vibration issues were touched on and some very simple fixes were discussed. A Search using the Hitachi model number as the search subject should bring them up.

Have you returned it yet? What adjustments did you do?
