Stanley 6 drawer rolling toolbox (with tools) $25 at Target B&M

Went into Target today to pick up a closeout Stanley FUBAR, and stumbled across a Stanley 6 drawer rolling toolbox with a bonus tool kit on clearance at 75% off (was $99.99 now $24.98).
There were 3 more at the Target in Pleasant Hill, CA.
    DCPI/SKU# is 085-05-0067

Its not pro-quality, but the ball bearing drawers are nice and sturdy. Heck, for $25 bucks its almost disposable. It comes with drawer liners and an assortment of better-than-average homeowner tools.
I can't figure out how to upload a pic, but a google search turned up an auction of the same thing here that includes pictures.

....and now I have someplace to store my new FUBAR!

I will have to send LOML over to Target to check that out. That would just break her heart to have to go to Target. I may not see her for another six hours--hey that's a win/win .

I called all the local Targets, and they didn't have any--of course I don't really trust people to really look. I would go out and look myself if I (or LOML) had the time. Bummer, I could really use the extra storage space, especially being mobile.

      Thanks for the alert, anyway.

OK, I'll admit it...I bought this one yesterday at the Sandy Springs Target for $49. I had checked it out along with another similar set-up that included a mechanic's tool set as the GWP. The mechanic's chest was sold out when I returned and the OP's chest had been moved so I got the last one...I had hoped for a Thursday markdown but no luck. Still worth $49 IMO.

Not sure why I am still buying large items when DW and I will be moving 1000 miles away sometime this year.

Stopped by one in Madison, WI and nada on this in clearance or otherwise. Didn't go to any other sites.

I DID pick up 2 weather stations for $3.74 each....still selling for $39 on some websites.

Maybe nobody wants to buy pink weatherstations from target

          (gave 'em to my wife/daughter)

This clearance has been going on for over a year. I remember checking it out when it was first reported here and my local store told me it was still full price. I ended up going there for something else last spring, decided to check, and they had two for the clearance price so I grabbed one. Well worth the $49 someone paid.

could you please post the UPC code. the DCIP number brings up the new set that they now have in stock. so the DCIP number is no good anymore. the UPC would be beneficial in tracking down a store that may that.

              thanks,

The box has a oversized barcode, under which is this UPC:

                0 76174 40836 2

                  This sucks

I am so tired of not being able to find the deals that others list in my area. I went to Target today to try and find the toolbox and the Fubar. They had both, but the FUBAR was on clearance for $24, and the toolbox was at the original list price of $99. I had a saleperson check the SKU, and it came back as marked correctly. I told her I thought there was a nationwide sale, and she said the price that is marked is the correct price! Oh well, not that I "needed" either of these, but it would be fun to get in on some of the deals.

Bushmaster, it probably doesn't suck as much as you think What sucks is not having any in stock at any local Target. I am sure your store will get around to marking them down, just keep your eye on them. As noted, Thursdays are Target's big markdown days.

I don't know what Target's policy is, but you might be able to get a price match with a copy of a recent receipt from someone here. I have never had luck with this approach at ANY store, but others here have.

Here is a good site to check often:

I posted a receipt of this tool box last year for guys to try to get a price match but I believe all the targets that were tried did not PM. Must be a company wide policy.

i had them search the upc code that you posted, but they would then use the DCPI number to see the quantity and price. however, the dcpi number points to the newer chest which is black and has 8 drawer combination rather than 6 drawer combination.

what is interesting is that they can what store has how many, but the price comes up different at each store. they are only able to tell me their store price. the target across the street from us has it for $100, however, 4 miles from us, the target there has it on sale for $50. why the price difference, i dont know and they werent able to explain either. but you are right, they dont price match.

the the store about 8 miles from my house gave it to me for $35 because it was the box was damaged and he thought that half the tools set (rachet set, allen keys) were missing. this set is definitely not worth $100.

now the problem: i am going to mount this set on top of the craftsman project center (one that was on sale and noted here on this site), but cant get the drawers to come out. i want to bolt this to the top of the craftsman from underneath, so the connections are not visible. anyone know how to remove the drawers on the craftsman chest?

Pull the drawers on the Craftsman chest all the way out, and there are little V-shaped catches on the slides. Push in on the catch and you should be able to disengage the slide and pull the drawer the rest of the way out.

(This is from memory, but I think it's accurate - I had the drawers out on mine when I first got it.)

                            Bushmaster --

Each Target gets to set its own markdowns. The one near me is terrible -- we're always days behind the other stores, giving people an early heads up on markdowns and they're usually out of stock by the time I can get to the store.

JoeyGee is right -- if you can figure out which days the markdowns usually occur (Tuesday for my store) you can get a deal once in a while. I got a B&D air compressor for 75% off last year after watching it sit at 30% off for a month and a half.

If you want the deals, you have to devote a fair amount of time to checking in with the store. Most of the time it's more effort than it's worth, but sometimes you get lucky.

Thanks for the advice guys. I really didn't want this deal that bad, just a little disappointed in the process is all. I am not going to run by Target every day to see if it is on sale. It does seem that many of the entries on this site seem to swing by Lowes or HD every day to see whats there. And then they climb to the rafters looking for stuff. I am not that motivated, nor are the stores that close. I guess I will have to stick to my proxy gloat (buddy got the drill press) and hope something lands in my lap
