Black and Decker VPX on clearance at HD

My local Home Depot (zip 15101) has all the Black and Decker VPX 7v Lithium-ion tools on clearance - 25-50% off.

Of course, your mileage may vary...

I know these tools are not considered "pro", but they are small and lite, and seem to have ok power for little things.

I was thinking about using the little drill for use as a dedicated counter sink rig, or perhaps to keep around the house for little honey-do's.

I looked at a bunch of reviews and it seems that many pro's hate them, but most home owners like them a lot.

And, at 50% off, they might be worth a look...

Don't know what they cost at HD, but you might check the sale at Amazon, too:

More VPX items had price drops as of yesterday. I picked up the cordless hacksaw for $29 (marked down from $59) to replace an older B&D one that didn't hold a charge.

It's basically a mini-sawzall that takes jigsaw blades. I've found it to be pretty helpful for remodelling projects where a jigsaw won't fit, but a sawzall is too agressive. Hopefully the batteries will drop in price so I can pick up a couple spares.

The starter kit that was $99 is now down to $20. That is a steal if you can find one. It has the screwdriver, cut saw, flashlight, charger and one battery. If you see it marked at a higher price, make sure to have it scanned. They don't always get around to marking them.

Are you saying that $20 is the price for these at HD? SKU?

Yes. I don't have the SKU.
