    BT3, craigslist - good price?

I just saw it on my local craigslist. Not mine...

I do not own a BT3, just wondering if that's a good price.

Is it a STEAL like he claims?

it's a good table saw... I've got the 3100... but I'd hardly call $295 a steal... even if it truly only has 10 hours use. Saw a completed eBay listing that went for $152... and another one that is still active w/ a day and a half left that is at $155....

Pretty much all that he lists comes standard with the saw, so there is no justification to ask the price that this model sold for new and with a warranty. Keep an eye on it, and offer a lower amount when you think he's had some time to come to his senses.

The only extra I saw listed was a long fence. The price is ok if it is in prime condition but not a steal by ony stretch of the imagination.

Due to my work schedule, I miss things on CL. Someone had an old (pre 1960) DeWalt ras locally (one of the better models), for free. I emailed them my contact information, hoping that since I supplied it, I would get a call. While I was waiting on that, someone posted a bt3000, complete, for $80.

Sears is getting ready for its next Craftman club days, and its version (21829), is not that much more then that, with a portable stand, and longer rails.
