    Mounts for flat panel TV's

Not long ago (within the last 6 months) I came across a posting on this site that had a link to what was described as "the" place to find the best deals on television wall mounting brackets. I have searched as much as I know how and haven't been able to find it. Anyone recall this posting?
I feel more like I do today than I did yesterday...

I suggest you take a visit over at ebay... you can get a basic flat panel mount for up to a 55" Plasma/LCD TV for under $35

First you need to decide what type of mount you want. Looks like Mono has some very good prices on flat wall mounts. I ended up with an articulate arm mount in the bedroom. That way I could turn it to another part of the bedroom if I'm not in the bed watching. It also makes it alot easier to get at the back of the TV to plug in cables IMHO, plus it pushes back almost flat against the wall. Got it on Ebay for $25, BestBuy wanted $300.

Ya, there a lot of talk about monoprice. Great prices and a lot of folks happy with their products. The prices are what these stupid brackets SHOULD be.

I got one for my 37" for $25 at Microcenter. They had others for @$50. Not as good a price as Monoprice, but you don't have to wait or pay for shipping.

If you don't need articulating a french cleat is hard to beat for price and stability.

exactly. i'm really happy with what i've purchased from them.

my brother returned 2 monster cables (hdmi and component cable) to circuit city a couple weeks ago. monoprice saved him over 100 buckaroos, thanks to little bro.

Monoprice is the only place I buy brackets and cables from. Highly recommended.

If you have the less likely circumstances like I did where I had an over 165lb flat panel, you may have other needs or considerations. I decided I didn't ever want to have to remove it from the wall to deal with cable connections(although inspection mirrors do wonders for this), painting, etc. since it is difficult and risky. Once the mount was installed, it is probably around 200lbs total to lift on and off the french cleat like mount. I also liked the ability to swing it to see it from the kitchen in the next room. An articulating mount for this size is hard to find good pricing and high quality(don't want this puppy falling off the wall or hard to adjust tilt) so after considering some real good mounts from Costco at an OK price, I realized thier shipping was really high on these heavy mounts.

I found for this heavy, high quality mount, that http://www.beachaudio.com/ had very good pricing and super cheap flat rate shipping. Excellent service and fast too. I don't shop Best Buy but it was far cheaper and better quality than thier offerings. Hope this helps somebody with more specific needs.

Monoprice is probably awesome for the majority of cable and mount needs. Just noticed thier inexpensive adj surround speaker mounts for $9 pair. I just bought the same for $27 pair locally.
