Ryobi Drill, Charger and Battery <$40

For those like me who are unwilling to make the change to LiOn technology until the prices come down a bit, HD has the One+ drill for $39 and change including one battery and the usual charger. Basically, it's the cost of one battery plus a charger, with the drill thrown in for free.

Much as I would like to upgrade to the new battery technology, I'm really fond of the cheap NiCads, so I going to wait a few months and and see how the pricing shakes out on the new stuff. In the meantime, this seems like a pretty decent deal to me.

Another great package was the Black Friday deal on the Ryobi One+ Drill / Circular Saw / Radio / Flashlight combo with one NiCad battery and charger for $59. I bought two of these packages for Xmas gifts. This weekend, we had a Kris Kringle draw for a party and I picked the name of a young man who is just recently married and setting up house, and I decided that if I could still find that package for that price, I would make that my Kris Kringle gift to him. I finally did find one at a local HD, but it had been marked up $10 to $69. I thought this was still a good deal, so I bought it.

There may still be a few of these at local HD's around the country, in case any of you are interested.

A few months ago they had a deal on the 2 batt, drill charger and flashlight for $49 so better deals do come around. Also in that deal it said 1 battery in the add but actualy came with 2. I bought 25 sets and sold them on ebay.

Did you see this deal online or at your local HD? I'm looking online but can't find it. Thanks.

Don't look in the TOOLS dept, they are usually out on the floor elsewhere in the store... probably towards the front somewhere.
          Never met a bargain I didn't like.

            In the store

They had a stack of them in the store up with their "what to Dad buy for Christmas" stuff-
as said above, not in the tool section.
