I'm wondering the same thing as I have a Jet JJ-6CS jointer. According to my Jet catalog the 3 Jet 6" jointers all have different sizes of knives. The JJ-60S has 6-1/16x5/8x1/8 knives, the JJ-6CS has 6x5/8x1/8 knives and the JJ-6CSDX has 6x7/8x3/64 knives. So it appears that none of the sets Brian listed are an exact match for any of the Jet 6" jointers.

I have that model, and I measured one of my "used" knives this morning. It measured 6 1/8" x 1/8" x 11/16". I emailed Holbren to ask if he'd get that size, but haven't heard back yet.

I suppose anything close would be useable...you'd just have to reset the outfeed table height to accomodate the new blades.

I ordered a set a few minutes ago. Hopefully if there is a better match for the 21706 Brian will be able to change the order. Thanks for posting the measurements. I checked the user manual and the sears site but wasn't able to find any specs.

I have the jj-6os and have used Freud 6x5/8x1/8. I have also seen some use the 6-1/16"x5/8x3/32".

              They are presharpened.

As for machines, I don't have a machine list so I have to go to the web and check. If the manufacturer of the machine doesn't list size, I have no way of knowing.

I am pretty sure I have every 6" knife on my list that is available to me. I don't know how each machine would react but I'm sure you can get away with a knife 1/16" off in a lot of cases.

I'm thinking the manufacturers messed around with the knife size to make sure you came to them when you needed a new set.

                  Brian,

I found some of the knife information via Amazon especially for the Delta JT since my local Lowe's stopped carrying it (thought I think the display was still there).

And are carbide blades for your shelix heads you carried, in this?

                  Thank you!

Just the knives on the link, no Byrd stuff. I can get the carbide straight knives too but they are about 4X more $$ and not worth it IMO because of issues with wood. If they get chipped, they are garbage.

                          Showing my reasoning, search parameters

I went to Amazon and typed Delta JT360. On its page they had a link for blades Delta 37-658. I then verified (googled) what I remembered reading, the JT was a renamed jointer.
Then I clicked on the user reviews as I find most unpublished useful tidbits listed there.

they are 6.125"L x .6"H x .095" is the quote from the review.
                          Hope this helps!

I have that jointer, just measured it: 6-1/8 X 5/8 X 1/8. Sent a PM to see if they're available, but probably too late. Oh well, add it to the knowledge base, anyway. Definitely a nice deal.
