Do you know of another rebate form? The $50 one turned out to be outdated, even though Dewalt still had it on their website. The $40 one is valid.

Zero luck at three stores. None would match your receipt because they thought that the discount was likely due to it being damaged or a return. They wouldn't match the Atlanta receipt because it wasn't local. One store said they wouldn't match a scan of the reciept and all but accused me of doctoring the scan. I honestly got sick of trying more stores because they were all pretty rude to me, no matter how nice I tried to be.
Oh well, hopefully it will come down in price down here officially.
Thanks for the scan though.

I just got off the phone with Amazon, they price matched the HD price without even checking. I called the Tool crib number(866)876-8073, I had to pay tax, but free shipping.

Screwed by Dewalt
I just got a postcard from dewalt saying they 'were not able to fulfill my rebate request due to the following reasons:
'The retailer you purchased from is not participating in this promotion."
What a bunch of crap! Has anyone else gotten this answer or a rebate from a Home Depot purchase? (re: the $40 rebate)You don't need a parachute to skydive, you only need a parachute to skydive twice.Comment

dewalt router
I just purchased the router for $199.00, all stores in this area has them at this price. I bought it with the understanding that the rebate was in effect. I hope I get the rebate, if not I probably take the router back. I need to read the small print. I pick up the rebate slips at HD. I don't know with these stores?Comment

Duped by HD and DeWalt
Yep, here's mine, Herb. Screwed by the best, I'd say. No up-front statements at the display or, from what I can see, on the DW coupon either. Hang 'em both!I just got a postcard from dewalt saying they 'were not able to fulfill my rebate request due to the following reasons:

I sure hope Lowes is a participating retailer
. I picked up Dewalt's 2 base kit as a present for my dad at Christmas and will be kind of annoyed if I too get screwed. I've usually had great success with rebates in the past (particularly at Staples with their Easy Rebates filed on-line), but in the last year I've had 2 decline my submission for lame reasons and one had the rebate company go bankrupt before I got my money. That last one was for $200 for a pair of cell phones from Wirefly.com who claims I'll get my money in due time, but I'm not holding my breath.
Good luck to the rest of you.....I think I'm going to need it too.

If Lowes is offering a rebate they print a rebate form at the cash register at the time of purchase. At least that is what they did with the Dewalt 6 tool pack I bought.I sure hope Lowes is a participating retailer

Ironhat, I would call them, I did. If you give them an inch......
866 444 5290. Mentioning that their duplicity is all over the woodworking sites on the internet may not hurt either, and i'm making a point of that. You don't need a parachute to skydive, you only need a parachute to skydive twice.Comment

It's not a Lowes rebate, it's a Dewalt rebate. If Dewalt has the rebate with no exclusions posted on their website, which they do, that's good enough for me.
Are we now supposed to guess which retailers participate and which ones don't? How are we supposed to find out, just take Dewalts word after the fact?!
Call 866 444 5290 and complain if you've ben ripped also.
Conversely, if anyone here bought from HD and DID get the rebate, please let us know and post it if possible. You don't need a parachute to skydive, you only need a parachute to skydive twice.Comment

Thanks for the link, roger, and my HD retailere *is* listed. The issue, though, is whether they are participating in this rebate offer. Not that they are an authorized dealer although, that *is* another argument *against them* ! Thanks!Blessings,

I explained earlier, again this kit is NOT on that rebate form, check you model number . The HD kit has a different UPC and model number because it has an edge guide in it. The rebate in the summer '07 was at HD had a different form at HD stores only specific for that kit. HD does that to avoid PM on items sometimes. Rebates are very specific on their conditions.
I am very careful on using them , some require signatures, others require you fill in by hand only, etc. They say that HD did not participate because that was really the case.AndrewComment
