Got mine a couple of years ago for less than $100 on deep sale + coupon. Haven't seen it that low since.
> Built too light for job-site use.
> Blade doesn't make silky smooth cuts. A new blade would help, but costs more than the saw!
> Had to laminate a face to the fence to make it true (laminated fence + normal adjustments made a big difference).
>> But it's been well worth $100 to me. You'll have to determine your breakpoint of price vs precision.
I use my BT3000 w/WWII for precise, "silky" cuts.

OLD STUFF ... houses, furniture, cars, wine ... I love it all
I had the 10" version and used it to build two decks, put siding on a garage and to help a neighbor build a shed. It was just fine for that and the 12" saw seems to have a smoother sliding action and has a more powerful motor. It, of course, has more capacity. I bought mine for $100 and sold it for $70 after using it for two years. That is $15 per year. I think it was some of my best spent tool money.I don't see how you could loose much at this price.
